Schoolgoers was founded by Daksha Sridhar and Ash Nugent, following a study tour they took to India in 2014. When not dedicating time to Schoolgoers, Daksha is an Account Manager and Ash is a Consultant.
During the study tour, Daksha and Ash connected with two changemakers in Bihar, Naresh Kumar and Pankaj Kumar, who were already working to encourage local children to attend school. Naresh is now based in Japan, from where he continues to advise the project. Pankaj is an employee of Schoolgoers.

The committee is rounded out by Directors, Rishi Kher and Harsimran Gill, both of whom have strong ties to India. Rishi is a Chartered Accountant & Entrepreneur and Simran is a Social Worker.
